The Abell Family
The old adobe mill compex, built in the 1850's of adobe brick on a rock foundation, was part of a large shipping center for livestock and agricultural products. The mill ground flour for many families in the Mora Valley and the La Cueva area. The mill itself generated electricity through 1949 and today is in good condition and has extensive storage buildings.

The Cooperative is a community owned market that sells local beef, pork, lamb, eggs, honey, herbs, produce and local products. We also carry retail groceries to supply your pantry with whatever meets your cooking needs. Additionally we support our local farmers, ranchers and small businesses to help seek resources to assist in their production, processing, packaging and marketing of their goods in a region currently underserved and lacking sustainable economic options. Our partnerships and coordination with local expertise in diverse grassroots help support and educate our members as well as the local community.
