May Day Clean Up

May Day is known as a day to celebrate renewal. A ‘May Day’ is also a call for help.

Saturday May 1st from 10-12 Mora families are invited to each adopt one mile of county roads. We request the family have two separate trash bags, one regular trash and one alcohol related trash. The goal is to count how many of each types of trash is collected bringing DWI awareness to our youth/families. Our Mora sheriff’s department will be out assisting. 5 of our deputies have offered to donate their time to collect the bags in their trucks and to hand out lunches and other goodies to our families.

Sign up by Monday, April 26th with our DWI prevention specialist, Bernadette Cowell at jermdette2001@gmail.com or call 507-227-4287. She will need your families name, which county road and mile markers you plan to adopt. Your family will be provided vests, gloves, bags, refreshments and rewards. OurMora.org - Our Community will provide more info.

May Day Clean up is a community collaboration between the Mora Health Council, Mora DWI, Mora Sheriff’s Department & the Mora Creative Council.
