First Meeting of 2024
The group decided the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month will be a quilt gathering at the Luna Library in Mora, 10:00-12:00. The group will meet to work on their projects, share tips, perhaps make some charity quilts, and visit. If you don’t have a project, come and knit or whatever… The group will grow as opportunity and needs arise. Beginners are absolutely welcome as well as all levels! Bring your sewing machine and supplies if you want.• One of the first quilts, check it out HERE.
•We would like to do this design, for those who are interested, for Our Mora first responders to hand to children in crisis situations.
• We will share I Found A Quilted Heart for those who have made some.
• We will discuss future quilt challenges and projects.
I found a quilted heart…Lisa and Candy of Mora Mountain Mommas shared a project at the last meeting. We decided whoever wants to make one for ‘homework’ for our next meeting. We are very excited to participate in this project. If you can’t make the next meeting and you made some hearts, send them with a friend.

Chicken River Quilters of Las Vegas made 10 queen size quilts for victims of the Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon wild fire. If you know of a deserving family, please email: ArtistAnitaMarie@yahoo.com. Several of these beautiful quilts are spoken for, however we have a few left to be placed. Thank you quilters!
