2019 Fall Fest

Mora Fall Fest has become one of the most anticipated events of the year, due to the dedication of the Arts & Culture Compound organizers who plan this event all year long.

This year consisted of pumpkin decorating, a costume contest, trunk or treat, book stories, archery from Kazadores, the National Guard’s rock climbing wall, a search for the golden pumpkin, scavenger hunt, quilt show, fire trucks, games, yummy food, Explora science, face painting, and many interactive booths from our organizations and businesses in the community.

This year the ACC decided to expand the  advertisement of our signature event by purchasing a radio ad in Taos, which helped increase our traffic tremendously! We had over 1.200 attendees, making the Fall Fest better and bigger every year. I had the pleasure of talking to members of other communities and how they felt about this festival and they absolutely loved it! They were impressed with the organization and all the different activities involved and many were sure to come back next year with even more out of town guests.

One of the biggest and surprisingly successful additions this year was the kids’ reading booth. By getting book donations and partnering with the Las Vegas Arts Council, we made it happen, and not only that, there were free books for everyone!

We had the pleasure of having over 80 volunteers helping throughout the event, from 8am to 6pm. From community members to student council, we managed to keep the event safe for everyone to enjoy, and we very much appreciate everyone who constantly asked if there was any help needed.

We also want to thank the many professionals who took time to assist with our educational activities. The guests were mesmerized with the interactions they experienced with our public service staff during Fall Fest You really kept the little ones interested and, most importantly, they were learning while having fun.

Thank you, Mora, for making Fall Fest a reality. We love seeing the outcome every year! This motivates our organizers to come up with better and bigger ideas for upcoming years. If you’d like to participate in any of the activities  ACC holds, please contact us through our email:
